Starting as a simple club in 1906, known as the “Los Amigos”, Alpha Kappa Lambda was founded by a group of young Christian men who were looking for a place to live and study that was within their financial needs. After officially becoming Alpha Kappa Lambda in 1914, this group strived to become the premier college experience for any man that led to a lifelong brotherhood. Following their five ideals, AKL has fostered over 26,000 men across more than 29 chapters to assume leadership roles in not only a professional sense, but in their personal growth as well.
