Founded by the Dean of Metropolitan College of Music, Professor Winthrop S. Sterling with the intent of creating a sorority focused on music, a parallel to the fraternity on campus, Mu Phi Epsilon strives to enhance and recognize the scholarship and musicianship of its members. Becoming co-ed in 1977, all musicians from all walks of life. With an emphasis on service through music, the brothers and sisters of Mu Phi Epsilon have a community where all can strive.
